How to Get Faded Maple Leaf Earrings in MapleStory Classic World

Faded Maple Leaf Earrings are the reward for We Hold Your Place, the sixth and final quest of the Caretaker's Ledger chain. It starts with Lyn the Librarian at The Circulation Desk, a hidden room above Ellinia's Magic Library, at level 28. It's a Classic World quest line, and the only recorded source of the earrings.

Quick answer: Level 28+. Collect 25 Torn Ledger Pages from fairies for Lyn the Librarian, then carry the ledger around Victoria Island: Chief Stan (Henesys), Manji (Perion), Chrishrama (Sleepywood), the Dark Lord (Kerning City) and Grendel the Really Old (Ellinia). Only the first step needs farming. Along the way you also pick up 10 Elixirs and 10 Mana Elixirs.

Every step pays 4,090 EXP and 892 mesos (24,540 EXP and 5,352 mesos for the chain, about 34% of a level at 28). The ledger items are handed to you as the story moves on; you don't farm them. Full walkthrough: Caretaker's Ledger quest guide.

The only farming: Torn Ledger Pages

The fairies took the pages. The quest text names Tree Dungeon, Forest Up North VI, Tree Dungeon, Forest Up North VII and Someone Else's House as places to look. Drop rates aren't in the game data, and spawns are thin: the game data has only 2 fairies (Lv. 29) on each of those maps, next to Curse Eyes in the tree dungeon and Iron Hogs plus a Mushmom in Someone Else's House. Expect to hop channels. The quest text also hints at a hidden room above the Magic Library, a nice nod for explorers.

Route tips

The chain zigzags: Ellinia → Henesys → Perion → Sleepywood (plus the Hotel Receptionist there) → Kerning City (the Dark Lord, then Alex on the rooftops) → back to Ellinia. Grab a few return scrolls or plan it around other errands in those towns. More reward details are in how to get Elixirs and how to get Mana Elixirs.
