Damage Calculator

Enter your weapon, stats and skill, pick a monster, and this calculator estimates your damage range per hit, how many hits the kill takes and whether you one-shot it. It's an estimate built on the formulas in our damage formula guide, run against each monster's HP, defense and level from the game data.

Estimate, not a promise. The formulas are community-documented, not published by Nexon. Not included: critical hits (every class can crit in Classic), misses, buffs you don't type in as Attack Power or Magic Attack, Final Attack procs, damage over time, bleed, stuns and other skill side effects and party play.

Target monster: Curse Eye (Lv 33)

Regular attack (100%). Ordinary melee attacks swing 60% of the time and stab 40%.

vs Curse Eye (Lv 33, 1,001 HP, weapon defense 30), 3 levels above you. Damage taken: ×77% defense, ÷1.045 level gap.

Estimate only, built on the formulas in our damage formula guide. No crits, misses, buffs you didn't enter, or skill side effects. The guide ties the multiplier to the attack's animation, so both swing and stab are shown. Hit chance is in the accuracy calculator.

How it works

  • Physical (from the guide): max = Skill% × W.ATK × (1.0 + (main × multiplier + secondary + 2 × Attack Power) / 100); min uses a 0.8 base and multiplies the main-stat term by the mastery factor (0.1 + mastery level / 10) × 0.7. Main and secondary stats and the swing/stab/shoot multipliers are the guide's tables; Lucky Seven uses 3.0.
  • Magic: max = Skill% × (floor(INT / 2) + Magic Attack) × (1 + INT / 125); min swaps INT for INT × mastery factor. A spell's "Basic Attack" value from the skill data is used as its percentage, and its mastery level comes from the same line.
  • Against the monster: × 100 / (defense + 100), × 1.25 if it's weak to the spell's element, × 0.75 if it resists, × 0 if immune, then ÷ the level-gap divisor if it's above you, rounded down and kept between 1 and 99,999.
  • Hits to kill is the monster's HP over your max hit (fewest) and min hit (most), rounded up. One-shot means one use of the skill, all its hits, kills it.

Our assumptions: the guide's defense step doesn't say which defense a spell meets, so we use the monster's magic defense for spells and weapon defense for physical attacks; a missing defense value counts as 0. Elements only apply to spells: Fire Arrow, Poison Breath, Cold Beam and Thunder Bolt take theirs from the skill description, Holy Arrow from its name. Skill percentages and hit counts are the game data's own per-level values. Where sources disagree (one older reference counts Attack Power 1:1 and uses 0.8 in the mastery factor), we follow the majority, as the guide does.

FAQ

How accurate is this damage calculator?

It's an estimate. It runs the community-documented Classic World formulas from our damage formula guide on your inputs and the monster's level, HP and defense from the game data. It leaves out crits, buffs you don't enter, misses and skill side effects, so treat the numbers as a planning range, not exact in-game results.

What damage formula does it use?

Physical: Skill% × W.ATK × (1.0 + (main stat × weapon multiplier + secondary stat + 2 × Attack Power) / 100) for the max, and a 0.8 base with the main-stat term times your mastery factor for the min. Magic: Skill% × (floor(INT / 2) + Magic Attack) × (1 + INT / 125). Then defense, element, the level gap and the 1 to 99,999 cap.

Why does it show swing and stab separately?

The weapon multiplier depends on the attack's animation, not the skill. Axes, blunts, spears, polearms and daggers have different swing and stab multipliers, so the tool shows both ranges. Swords use the same value for both.

Does the character window range match?

The "before monster" column is the raw range before defense. For the guide's example, a level 30 Warrior with 132 STR, 30 DEX and a 47 W.ATK Gladius, the tool gives 59–172 for a regular attack, and 357–449 for max Power Strike with mastery level 10, the same as the guide.

Which skills are included?

Attack skills whose damage the guide's formulas cover: Power Strike, Slash Blast, Rush, Energy Bolt, Magic Claw, Fire Arrow, Poison Breath, Cold Beam, Thunder Bolt, Holy Arrow, Arrow Blow, Double Shot, Power Knockback, Arrow Bomb, Iron Arrow, Double Stab, Lucky Seven, Drain, Steal, Savage Blow. Final Attack skills (a 25% proc on top of another attack) and Three Snails (flat damage) aren't in it.

Does LUK help magic damage?

No. Per the guide, magic damage uses INT and Magic Attack only. LUK still matters for a Magician's accuracy.
