Stumpy is the angry old tree of Perion's Rocky Mountains, and it's the one boss Founder's Access players never got to fight. In Classic World it's level 35 with 19,220 HP, it's weak to Fire, and it spawns alone on Parched Land, off East Rocky Mountain V. The base timer is about an hour, and Nexon made field boss respawns more random at launch.

Quick answer: Lv 35 Ā· 19,220 HP Ā· 276 EXP Ā· weak to Fire, resists Lightning. Perion → Perion Street Corner → East Rocky Mountain I–V → hidden portal to Parched Land. About a 1-hour base timer, randomized since launch.

New at Grand Launch

Nexon's Founder's Access notes listed five bosses: Mano, Mushmom, Shade, Zombie Mushmom and Jr. Balrog. The Grand Launch notes list six, with Stumpy added. Community databases tag it "New at Grand Launch" too. Full list on the boss hub.

The game data flags Stumpy as aggressive and gives it two attacks, one of them a jump attack. It also has a Heal skill it can use every 30 seconds, on top of 192 HP of natural regen. Community sources add that one of its attacks is a ranged shot and that it buffs its own defense; the data lists two self-buffs but doesn't name them.

Where Stumpy spawns and how to get there

Stumpy spawns on Parched Land, one at a time. The map hangs off East Rocky Mountain V and returns you to Perion.

Route from Perion (7 portals, per the game's map data):

  1. Perion → Perion Street Corner
  2. → East Rocky Mountain I
  3. → East Rocky Mountain II
  4. → East Rocky Mountain III
  5. → East Rocky Mountain IV
  6. → East Rocky Mountain V
  7. → hidden portal at the far left of East Rocky Mountain V → Parched Land

Parched Land is small: besides Stumpy it has only 9 regular spawns (5 Axe Stumps at Lv 17, 2 Dark Axe Stumps at Lv 23 and 2 Jr. Boogies at Lv 35). There's something to hit while you wait, but not much, and the Jr. Boogies are a big step up from the stumps.

Respawn: about an hour, now randomized

Nexon's Grand Launch maintenance notice says field boss respawn times were "adjusted to be more randomized." Use the hour as a rough guide only.

  • Base timer: 1 hour. The game data stores a 3,600-second spawn timer for Stumpy.
  • No source has posted live kill-to-spawn logs for Stumpy yet. Community reports say other field bosses like Mushmom can run closer to 90 minutes live (unconfirmed), so plan on a longer window here too.
  • With 40 channels on Windia since launch (Nexon), the spawn you're camping may already be dead on your channel. We don't have a second source on how channel timers behave.

The Stumpy quest

Stumpy is the target of Monstrous Tree Stumpy, the last step of the 8-step The Old Tree chain that starts and ends with Winston at East Rocky Mountain II (level 34+). The final step pays 3,937 EXP, 1,082 mesos and a Gloves Crit. Rate Scroll: Chaos. The step before it, Stump Research, asks for 100 Very Dry Branches; the game data has no drop source for them (community reports point to the stumps around Perion, unverified). The whole chain pays 25,586 EXP and 7,031 mesos, about 16% of a level at 34.

No source publishes a recommended level or party size. What you can plan with:

  • Accuracy: a community accuracy table says you need 79 ACC at level 35, 95 at level 30, and 110 at level 25 to never miss Stumpy.
  • HP pool: 19,220 HP, and it heals itself (192 HP natural regen plus a Heal skill every 30 seconds, per the game data). Low damage drags this fight out.
  • The quest is level 34+, which lines up with Stumpy's own level 35.

Strategy by class

No kill-time data exists yet, so these tips come from the stat sheet.

  • Fire/Poison Wizards: this is your boss. Fire Arrow is fire-element, and Stumpy is fire-weak.
  • Ice/Lightning Wizards: skip Thunder Bolt, since Stumpy resists Lightning. Use Cold Beam.
  • Warriors and Bandits: watch for the jump attack (and the reported ranged shot). Stay on the boss so its heal doesn't undo your work.
  • Bowmen and Assassins: you'll trade at range with its projectile. Keep moving and keep pots handy.
  • Clerics: no Holy weakness here, so Stumpy isn't a Cleric target.

Stumpy drops

No source publishes Classic World drop rates for Stumpy. One community database lists no drops and notes that monster drops aren't in the client. The only list right now is a player-voted community one, with a handful of sightings each: Elixir, Stumpy Figure, crafting catalysts, a One-Handed Blunt Weapon Attack Scroll: Intermediate, and a few single reports. Treat those as early sightings, not a confirmed table.
