Special Taste of Florina Beach Quest Guide in MapleStory Classic World

Special Taste of Florina Beach is a 4-quest part-time job for Riel at Florina Beach, open at level 37. You haul beach ingredients (Coconuts, Lupin's Bananas, Lorang Claws and Clang Claws) for her kitchen. It's one of the better meso quests in the 30s: 15,210 mesos and 29,240 EXP in total (about 13.5% of level 37), plus 105 Blue Potions.

Step-by-step walkthrough

Step II starts with a short quiz about Florina Beach before Riel hands you the shopping list. The launch data doesn't include the questions or answers.

Where to hunt

The map to camp: A Look-Out Shed Around the Beach, one step from Florina Beach, has Lorang ×36 and Lupin ×27 and nothing else, so it covers every Lorang Claw and Lupin's Banana in the chain. Spawn counts per map, densest first:

• Lorang (Lv 38): A Look-Out Shed Around the Beach (36), Lorang Lorang (35), Lorang and Clang (18), Lorang Lorang Lorang (17)
• Clang (Lv 49): Lorang and Clang (29), Clang and Lorang (17, also Torties, Lv 46), Hot Sand (13, mostly Torties)
• Lupin (Lv 37): Monkey Swamp I (28), A Look-Out Shed Around the Beach (27), Sleepy Dungeon V (23, also Dark Stone Golems, Lv 58)

The quest text sends you to the Coconuts on the right side of Florina Beach; the item is described as "a fresh coconut from Florina Beach". If you did Mr. Wetbottom's Secret Book, you already know the Lupin drill.

Is it worth it?

Yes, if you want mesos. Our take assumes you'd rather earn than buy your potions:

• 15,210 mesos is a lot for level 37 quests. Step III alone pays 7,020.
• 105 Blue Potions cover a good stretch of mana for any class.
• There's no gear at the end, so if you're after equipment, the Rowen or Secret Book chains are better uses of your time.
• Clang Claws are the slow part: Clangs are level 49, so a fresh 37 may want to leave the later steps for a few levels.
