Are Orbis and El Nath in MapleStory Classic World? How to Get There (You Can't, Yet)
No. Orbis and El Nath are not in MapleStory Classic World at launch, so there's no way to get there right now. Nexon's Grand Launch notes only describe Maple Island and Victoria Island, and Nexon has said Orbis, El Nath and 3rd job advancement will be reworked and brought in gradually later. There's no date yet.
If you're looking for the boat to Orbis: it doesn't run. The Ellinia station is in the game files, but the airship to Orbis isn't active at launch. Any guide telling you to buy a ticket in Ellinia is describing old GMS or the closed tests.
What Nexon has said (official)
The launch world is Maple Island and Victoria Island. Per the Grand Launch release notes, every character starts on Maple Island and then moves to Victoria Island, "home to multiple towns where you'll choose your job." No other continent is listed, and the launch map data has only those two regions (plus event and system maps). The level cap is 100.
Orbis, El Nath and 3rd job were held back on purpose. In the Ossyria Exploration Report (August 21, 2026; the text is in the post's images), Inkwell wrote that Orbis, El Nath and 3rd Job Advancement won't be part of the initial launch content. Nexon is reworking them, including their content structure and progression flow, rather than bringing back the test version as-is, and plans to introduce them "gradually at an appropriate time."
Regions may arrive one at a time. In the October Inkwell interview, he said 3rd job or certain regions may be introduced sequentially where it makes sense, but that Classic World won't reproduce every piece of historical MapleStory content in the same order. Some content will be adapted, and some will be completely original.
No release date has been given for Orbis, El Nath or 3rd job in any Nexon post we've found.
Why some people think Orbis is in the game
Because it was, briefly, in testing. Community records agree that the second Closed Online Test (August 4 to 12, 2026) opened Ossyria, with Orbis and El Nath, and added 3rd job advancement. That's why videos, screenshots and database entries for Orbis and El Nath exist. Nexon's own report confirms some COT2 content won't be in Founder's Access or Grand Launch.
You'll still see traces of it:
- Database entries. One community database, for example, lists El Nath shops for Pure Water marked "Not open in this release."
- The Ellinia airship station. The Victoria Island end of the ferry is in the launch game files: an Ellinia Station map and a boarding map named "Before Takeoff <To Orbis>". There's no Orbis or El Nath map anywhere in the launch map data, so the airship has nowhere to go and doesn't run.
- Old-GMS guides. Anything describing the Orbis ship, Orbis Tower or El Nath job instructors is about the original game or the test, not live Classic World.
What the community says about timing (unofficial)
A community recap of the Classic World dev panel at MapleStory Fest 2026 says Ossyria and 3rd job still had no date there, and that a 3rd job test server was planned for early next year. That's a report of a live panel, not a written Nexon post, so treat it as unconfirmed until Nexon publishes it.
What to do instead
- Plan around 2nd job. Your class tops out at 2nd job for now. Don't hoard mesos for 3rd job skill books or Orbis gear.
- Train on Victoria Island. Past 50, the Wraith lines in the Kerning subway are the densest maps, and from the late 50s the skeleton camps past Perion's new Excavation Site are built for your level. See where to train past level 50.
- Forgotten Hollow is next. Nexon says this new, Classic-only area opens in November 2026. See the Forgotten Hollow guide.
- Bosses. The launch bosses are Mano, Stumpy, Mushmom, Shade, Zombie Mushmom and Jr. Balrog, per Nexon. No Zakum: that's a Founder's Package name, not a boss you can fight. See bosses in Classic World.
