Zombie Mushmom is Mushmom's rotting big sister, and in Classic World she got tougher at launch. She's a level 55 undead boss with 66,640 HP, weak to Holy, and she spawns alone in The Grave of Mushmom, through a hidden portal in Ant Tunnel Park below Sleepywood. Her base timer is an hour, but Nexon made field boss respawns more random at Grand Launch.

Quick answer: Lv 55 · 66,640 HP · 668 EXP · undead, weak to Holy. Sleepywood → Ant Tunnel I–IV → Dark Cave → Dangerous Steam → Deep Ant Tunnel I–II → Ant Tunnel Park → hidden portal to The Grave of Mushmom. 60-minute base timer, randomized since launch.

She was reportedly buffed for launch. Community change histories say the test build had her at level 50 with 53,640 HP and 568 EXP (unverified; we only have the launch data). Launch data has her at level 55. Older guides, and even some current community pages, still describe the level 50 version, and some older data lists a Poison resistance. The launch game data lists only the Holy weakness, so go by that.

The game data flags her as aggressive, gives her a single jump attack, and sets her HP regen at 666 per tick. Players report that she jumps between floors with it. The Holy weakness is reported as 25% extra damage (community-reported).

Where Zombie Mushmom spawns and how to get there

She spawns in The Grave of Mushmom (Dungeon), one at a time. The only way in is from Ant Tunnel Park, which is also your return map.

Route from Sleepywood (10 portals, per the game's map data):

  1. Sleepywood → Ant Tunnel I → Ant Tunnel II → Ant Tunnel III → Ant Tunnel IV
  2. → Dark Cave → Dangerous Steam → Deep Ant Tunnel I → Deep Ant Tunnel II
  3. → Ant Tunnel Park
  4. → hidden portal on the right side, high up → The Grave of Mushmom

The grave has 13 Zombie Mushrooms (Lv 24) plus 2 Jr. Boogies (Lv 35), so there's something to kill between spawns. Heads up for lower levels: the Jr. Boogies are 11 levels above the mushrooms.

Respawn: 60-minute base, randomized

Nexon's Grand Launch maintenance notice says field boss respawn times were "adjusted to be more randomized." Treat the hour as a rough guide.

  • Base timer: 60 minutes. The game data stores a 3,600-second spawn timer for her.
  • Live timing may run longer. One community database uses an unconfirmed 1 to 1.5 hour window because live boss respawns can run closer to 90 minutes.
  • Windia has 40 channels since launch (Nexon). One community source says "channel surfing matters," but no second source explains how channel timers work.

No source publishes a recommended level or party size. A community accuracy table says you need 120 ACC at level 55, 144 at level 50, and 167 at level 45 to never miss. She has 66,640 HP, 666 HP regen per tick, and a 697 weapon attack that's higher than Mushmom's (532), Stumpy's (477) or Shade's (620). Plan on a party unless you've tested your own damage against her.

Strategy by class

No measured kill times exist yet, so this comes from the stat sheet.

  • Clerics: she's undead and Holy-weak. Holy Arrow is described as very effective against the undead, and multiple sources say Heal damages undead monsters. Bring one.
  • Warriors, Bowmen and Thieves: her weapon DEF is low (10), so physical damage lands well. Her regen punishes slow damage, so stay on her.
  • Fire/Poison and Ice/Lightning Wizards: no listed weakness for your elements. Her magic DEF (20) is higher than her weapon DEF.
  • Everyone: she jumps between floors, so don't count on holding a platform.

Zombie Mushmom drops

No source publishes Classic World drop rates for Zombie Mushmom. The reference rates one community database shows come from another dataset, and it says they "may not represent" Classic rates. Nexon also added drop items to some Victoria Island monsters at launch.

Items at least two sources agree on:

Earring Crit. Damage Scroll: IntermediateItem database, community drop reports

Crafting materials show up too. One older item list calls them "Stimulators", but the game data only has Catalysts (Scroll, Armor, One- and Two-Handed Weapon Crafting Catalysts), which is also what players report. Community drop reports also include single reports of Shinkita, a few attack scrolls and potions.
