Leaf Points are an alternative Cash Shop currency in MapleStory Classic World, according to Nexon's FAQ. You don't buy them like NX. So far they've come from events, as Leaf Points Exchange Coupons you double-click to add points to your balance. They spend in the Cash Shop, but some packs are NX-only.

Quick answer: Leaf Points = Classic World's event-earned Cash currency. They came as 1,000 or 5,000 point coupons from check-in events. They don't exist in regular MapleStory, and NX-only packs can't be bought with them.

How you get Leaf Points

The launch game data has five coupon sizes. Only the first two have been handed out in an event so far:

ItemWhat it does
Leaf Points (1,000) Exchange CouponDouble-click to get 1,000 Leaf Points
Leaf Points (5,000) Exchange CouponDouble-click to get 5,000 Leaf Points
Leaf Points (10,000) Exchange CouponDouble-click to get 10,000 Leaf Points
Leaf Points (50,000) Exchange CouponDouble-click to get 50,000 Leaf Points
Leaf Points (100,000) Exchange CouponDouble-click to get 100,000 Leaf Points

All five are untradable and time-limited in the game data, and the event versions expired after 7 days, so use them, don't hoard them. Nexon hasn't said how the three bigger coupons will be given out.

Where they came from so far:

  • Founder's First Step (Founder's Access check-in, October 6 to 20): a 5,000 coupon on Day 1 and a 1,000 coupon on each of Days 2 to 7.
  • Closed Online Tests: testers earned Leaf Points from events, and the test Cash Shop priced everything in Leaf Points so people could try items out.

The Grand Launch check-in event, The Journey Begins, gives pets, potions, Safety Charms and Megaphones, but no Leaf Points. Nexon hasn't said whether future events will hand them out again.

What you can't buy with them

Founder's Packages couldn't be bought with NX either, and they're no longer on sale. For a full look at what the Cash Shop sells, see is Classic World pay to win.
