Mrs. Ming Ming's Second Worry Quest Guide: Estelle's Sauce and the Ribboned Pig Headband

Mrs. Ming Ming's Second Worry is a three-step chain from Mrs. Ming Ming in Henesys, open at level 15. She needs food for the village carnival: 10 Pig's Heads, 30 Octopus Legs and Estelle's Special Sauce, which Estelle only trades for a Garnet. Total: 2,007 EXP, 1,491 mesos, Red Potion ×10, Ribboned Pig Headband, Lemon ×20.

Before you start

• Finish Mrs. Ming Ming's First Worry first (Mrs. Ming Ming, Lv. 15).
• The Garnet is the hard part. In our quest data the only quest that rewards one is Luke the Security Guy (Lv. 19), and that's one random gem out of eight, once. The other route is Arcforge: at Arcforge level 1 you refine 1 Garnet Ore into a Garnet for a 200-meso fee (see the Arcforge guide). Garnet Ore's only quest source is the much later Collecting 70 Cursed Dolls, so at level 15 you're buying either the ore or the Garnet. Sort it out before you start running around.

Step-by-step

Walkthrough notes

• Step 1: Mrs. Ming Ming asks for the carnival food and sends you to Estelle in The Field South of Ellinia for her sauce.
• Step 2: Estelle wants a Garnet for her mom's birthday necklace. Hand it over and she gives you the sauce.
• Step 3: take the sauce, 10 Pig's Heads and 30 Octopus Legs back to Mrs. Ming Ming in Henesys.
• Finishing this chain is one of the requirements for After the Festival Ends... at level 27.

Where to farm Pig's Heads and Octopus Legs

Drop tables aren't in the game data, but the item descriptions point the obvious way ("a head of a pig", "a leg removed from an octopus"), so treat these as the likely sources (unverified). Spawn counts per map, densest first:

• Pig (Lv. 7): Thicket Around the Beach II (18), A Hill West of Henesys (16), The Forest East of Henesys (15)
• Octopus (Lv. 12): Damp Forest (15), Caution Falling Down (12), Northern Top of Construction Site (12), Kerning City Construction Site (10). Damp Tree-Forest has 19 but also Dark Axe Stumps (Lv. 23), too much at 15.

Ribboned Pig Headband stats: Lv. 27, 26 W.DEF, +7 MP, +2 ACC, 7 upgrade slots, any class.

Is it worth it?

Yes, but know the catch: the headband needs level 27, and you can take the chain at 15. So it's a hat you'll wear later, not now. Seven upgrade slots make it a good scrolling base when you get there. The rest: 669 EXP and 497 mesos per step (2,007 EXP and 1,491 mesos total; the EXP is about 28% of a level at 15, which needs 7,050), 10 Red Potions and 20 Lemons. The Garnet costs you something, so if you'd rather sell it, skip this until you're close to 27. You'll still need it done for After the Festival Ends...
