Talk to Jay in Henesys at level 25 or higher to start "[Event] The Marks We Leave Behind". You follow the pages of an old Adventurer's Journal to six spots around Victoria Island: The Pig Beach, Someone Else's House, Marr's Forest, Mong from Kong in Kerning City (10 mesos), The Land of Wild Boar II and finally Ant Tunnel Park, where the Mark of the Beta hat waits. The event runs until November 18, 2026, 11:59 PM UTC.
Quick route: Jay (Henesys) → The Pig Beach (hidden, off 3-Way Road-Split) → Someone Else's House (door of the mushroom house) → Marr's Forest (bottom right) → Mong from Kong, Kerning City (pay 10 mesos) → The Land of Wild Boar II (hidden, top right of East Domain of Perion) → Ant Tunnel Park (top, by the portal to The Grave of Mushmom). Total cost: 10 mesos, plus any cabs you take.
The essentials
| Event | The Marks We Leave Behind |
| Dates | October 21, 2026 12:00 AM UTC to November 18, 2026 11:59 PM UTC |
| Level | 25 and above |
| Start | Jay, Henesys |
| Cost | 10 mesos (Mong from Kong), plus optional cab fares |
| Reward | Mark of the Beta (hat) |
Dates, level and NPC are from Nexon's Grand Launch notes. The game data lists seven event quests, all from Jay and none with an EXP or meso reward of their own: The Marks We Leave Behind, then The First Mark through The Fifth Mark, then The Final Mark.
Before you start
- Be level 25. That's the only requirement.
- Carry at least 10 mesos for Mong from Kong, and potions. Several stops are well above level 25 territory: Someone Else's House has Iron Hog (Lv. 28) ×13 and a single Mushmom (Lv. 40); The Land of Wild Boar II has Wild Boar (Lv. 25) ×23; Ant Tunnel Park has Evil Eye (Lv. 27) ×31 and Zombie Mushroom (Lv. 24) ×23.
- Mostly no fighting. Community guides say every page is picked up by standing on the spot and pressing Up. One caveat: the quest log for page 3 says the monsters of Someone Else's House were holding it (see step 2).
- Free Use slots. The journal and its pages are Use items; double-click each new page to read the next clue.
Step by step
Talk to Jay and take The Marks We Leave Behind, then talk to him again for the Adventurer's Journal. Open it to start The First Mark.
1. The Pig Beach (The First Mark → page 2)
The clue points to a beach watched by pigs. Head to 3-Way Road-Split; The Pig Beach is reached from there. The entrance is reportedly a hidden portal in the flowers. On The Pig Beach, the page is on the low ground on the left side, near the tall cliff. One guide places it between the trees just right of the cliff; another describes it as a crack in the rocks.
2. Someone Else's House (The Second Mark → page 3)
The clue is about a night under a stranger's roof. Someone Else's House is the hidden map past Pig Park II. Both community guides put the page at the door of the mushroom house. Iron Hogs (Lv. 28) and Mushmom (Lv. 40) live here, so move quickly. The quest's own completion text says "the monsters of Someone Else's House really were holding the next sheet", so if pressing Up at the door does nothing, expect to hunt Iron Hogs for it (unconfirmed; the quest has no kill count in the data).
3. Marr's Forest (The Third Mark → page 4)
The clue sends you into the woods. Marr's Forest is off Ellinia. Both community guides put the page in the bottom right corner of the map. The quest log describes it as kept by an old tree high up in the forest, so if the corner comes up empty, look up.
4. Mong from Kong, Kerning City (The Fourth Mark → page 5)
The clue hints at shadows and coins: Kerning City. Find Mong from Kong (reportedly just right of the pharmacy) and pay him 10 mesos for the page. This is the only cost on the trail. The quest log confirms the page costs 10 mesos from a thief in Kerning City.
5. The Land of Wild Boar II (The Fifth Mark → page 6)
The clue points off the beaten path to where wild boars roam. Go to East Domain of Perion, climb to the very top right, and take the hidden portal into The Land of Wild Boar II.
The two guides disagree on the exact spot here:
- One guide: the second small stepping stone from the left, just before the rope.
- The other: the small platform in the middle of the map.
Check both. You'll pick up scraps that form the last page.
6. Ant Tunnel Park (The Final Mark → the hat)
The last clue says the trail ends underground. Go to Sleepywood and down through the Ant Tunnel to Ant Tunnel Park, which is past Deep Ant Tunnel II. Climb to the top of the map, right side, next to the portal to The Grave of Mushmom, and press Up. That's the Mark of the Beta.
The reward: Mark of the Beta
| Stat | Mark of the Beta |
|---|---|
| Level to wear | 25 |
| STR / DEX / INT / LUK | +1 each |
| Weapon defense | 24 |
| Upgrade slots | 7 |
Those values come from the launch game files. An older community listing (15 weapon defense, no level requirement) is out of date. It sells to NPCs for 1,500 mesos (game data), so be careful when you're vendoring equips. Both community guides say the hat can't be traded; the item data we have shows no trade-block flag on it, so treat that as community-reported.
Two more details, each from a single community source, so treat them as unconfirmed:
- The event counts once per account. After one character finishes, your other characters see the quests as completed. Run it on the character you want wearing the hat.
- The hat can move between your own characters through storage.
Tips
- Cabs save time. The Henesys to Ellinia cab is reportedly at 500 mesos and Ellinia to Kerning City at 600. Every map is also reachable on foot.
- Crowded map? Change channel. Nothing we've found says pages are channel-specific.
- Don't wait for the last day. The hat is only available while the event runs.
