How to Get the Old Raggedy Cape in MapleStory Classic World

The Old Raggedy Cape comes from Stranger's Identity, the second of two quests from Jane Doe inside Niora Hospital in Kerning City, from level 23. It's the only quest that rewards it in the game data; shop stock and drop tables aren't in the data, so no other source is confirmed.

Quick answer: Level 23+. In Niora Hospital (Kerning City), do Stranger's Request (40 Stirge kills, 20 Broken Mirror Glass), then Stranger's Identity (50 Zombie Mushroom kills, 25 Charm of the Undead). Reward: the Old Raggedy Cape.

The cape

Stat	Value
Required level	25
Class	All (no gender lock)
W.DEF	+12
M.DEF	+5
Accuracy	+1
Upgrade slots	5
NPC sell price	3,750 mesos

Five slots on a level 25 cape makes it the usual first cape for cape stat scrolls. You can take the quest at 23 but can't wear the reward until 25.

The two quests

Step	Quest	What you need	Reward
1	Stranger's Request	Kill 40 Stirge, bring 20 Broken Mirror Glass	20 Blue Potions
2	Stranger's Identity	Kill 50 Zombie Mushroom, bring 25 Charm of the Undead	Old Raggedy Cape

Both pay 2,430 EXP and 745 mesos: 4,860 EXP for the pair, about 14% of a level at 23 (34,320 to level).

Where to farm

Stirges for step 1 (Stirge, Lv. 20): densest at Transfer Area (38, Stirges only), Dangerous Steam (38) and Dark Cave (35). Broken Mirror Glass is "a piece of a shattered mirror"; the game data doesn't say which monster drops it, but the quest pairs it with the Stirge kills.
Zombie Mushrooms and Charm of the Undead for step 2: Zombie Mushroom (Lv. 24) is densest at Ant Tunnel III (61), Ant Tunnel II (32) and Deep Ant Tunnel I (29). The Charm's item text says it comes from "an undead monster".

Stack your Charms. Maya's Weird Medicine chain (level 21) wants 40 Charm of the Undead and 75 Zombie Mushroom kills for Arcon's Blood?. Doing both at once saves a trip; see how to get the Brown Bamboo Hat. Charm drop rates aren't in the game data.
